The Core Youth Theatre, an exciting youth theatre group designed for ages 7-10!

Join our Youth Theatre Group for ages 7-10, where budding young actors can explore their creativity in a fun and engaging environment! Meeting every Thursday evening, this course offers a fantastic opportunity for children to develop their theatre skills under the guidance of professional theatre makers and actors Skylar and Kelly.

In these weekly workshops, we will introduce the basics of acting, improvisation, and storytelling. Our youth group members will engage in interactive games and exercises designed to boost their confidence, teamwork, and communication skills. These sessions will encourage a love for the performing arts, all while making new friends and having a great time in a supportive and encouraging atmosphere.

In the autumn term they will learn performance skills, build their confidence and work on a performance to be performed in The Studio. There will be other great opportunities throughout the year to perform at The Core, allowing them to experience the thrill of being on stage.

HOW TO SECURE YOUR PLACE

• Complete a pre-course registration form for each participant – a link to which will be provided within your booking confirmation email

We cannot secure your place on the course until both of these steps have been completed.

Places are limited to 35, to ensure the best experience for everyone involved.

Parents/Guardian:  A number of bursary places are available to young people who live in Solihull and are in receipt of Free School Meals.  If the young person would like to attend, please email thecoretheatre@solihull.gov.uk at least two weeks in advance of the course start, with a copy of a recent (last 6 months) HAF email, including the young person's name and HAF code. We will then contact you to book a free place, subject to availability. This process must be completed each term.
