Solihull Arts Complex

A group exhibition including ten Midlands-based painters who reinterpret the conventions of landscape painting as contemporary, radical and unexpected. 

Taking the timeless tradition into their own hands, many of these artists reinvigorate it with compelling visions of Birmingham's industrial edgelands, green spaces and waterways. 

Others take a more dreamlike approach to picture imagined places, architectural vistas and terrain laden with human memories, presence and narratives. 

Curated by local art historian and author Ruth Millington, this show invites the public to be transported by some of the very best Midlands landscape painting today.
