Celebrate Frida Kahlo’s birthday on Monday 6 July with Exhibition On Screen: Frida Kahlo! This personal and intimate documentary offers privileged access to her works, her home, her studio and highlights the source of her feverish creativity and her resilience.

Next up in our National Theatre Live programme is NT Live: Les Liaisons Dangereuses, screening on Wednesday 8 July and Wednesday 29 July. Remembering the genius of David Hockney, enjoy a special screening of Exhibition On Screen: David Hockney at The Royal Academy of Arts on Tuesday 21 July. Widely considered Britain’s most popular artist, Hockney’s work is beloved around the world – experience two of his exhibitions and hear from the artist himself in this unmissable documentary.

Part of our ‘Summer Solidays’ programme of activities for children and families at The Core, animated film GOAT is showing on Wednesday 29 July. A small goat with big dreams gets a once-in-a-lifetime shot to play roarball, a high-intensity sport dominated by the fastest, fiercest animals in the world.

Also on Wednesday 29 July, Hong Kong Cinema continues with animated fantasy drama film Another World. A spirit guide helps those in the afterlife navigate their souls towards reincarnation in this Cantonese language film with English subtitles.

Grease with Wine is the ‘one that you want’ on Sunday 9 August, a sing-along movie classic paired with five themed wines for a perfect summer afternoon outing!

The ‘Summer Solidays’ fun continues with a Wicked Sing-Along on Wednesday 26 August. Join your fellow Ozians for an extra magical screening of Wicked with lyrics on screen to help you sing along!

Finally on Wednesday 26 August is Hong Kong esports drama Gamer Girls. Reuniting their all-female gamer group was tough enough, but now the Gamer Girls face the gaming authority and must find a way to restore the accounts of all Hong Kong players. In Cantonese with English subtitles.
